Events
Each year
the MDN works with participant men's groups to host four Regional
Days and one, residential, Summer School.
The basic
programme for the work is built around these events. The process
builds confidence and self-esteem and is as follows:
Contact men.
Invite them to join a Men's Development Group.
Work with the men in the Development Groups on a weekly or
bi-weekly basis.
After a year or so we encourage these men to present the skills
and knowledge gained by organizing and running a Regional
Men's Day inviting the other groups from the region to participate
and to share in the developmental process of the network.
We try to present Regional Men's Days on a quarterly basis
The Staff team support the men in the group as they do this.
Having organised and run two regional days over two years,
we encourage those men to organise and run the annual Men's
Summer School inviting men from all over Ireland and elsewhere
to come.
Again the staff team works in support of the men to do this.
Encourage the interested men to become involved with the Network
and with working for change. For example the Board of Directors,
Facilitators, Representatives.
Develop their talents so that their lives and the lives of
those around them are enhanced.
